Why is Avocado considered as a perfect food?

  1. They are a great source of lutein, a carotenoid that works as an antioxidant and helps protect against eye disease.
  2. They contain the related carotenoids zeaxanthin, alpha-carotene and beta-carotene, as well as tocopherol (vitamin E).
  3. It is a high-fiber, sodium- and cholesterol-free food that provides nearly 20 essential nutrients
  4. They are rich in monounsaturated fats that boost heart health and help lower blood
  5. Folic acid is commonly recommended for pregnant women to help the fetus develop its brain and other vital organs
  6. Nutrients and enzymes in avocado reduce inflammation in the stomach and small intestine's mucous lining. This also improves the body's ability to absorb carotenoids and nutrients.
